| Yes it is sci fi. Most popular sci fi works are in fact "soft sci fi" which means that the scientific accuracy and plausibility are either low or not the focus. |

| I feel that even though this show lacks some explanation for certain things it is still considered sci fi. Science-fiction is considered to be something with scientific roots but the fact remains that it’s fiction. Honestly if you don’t like the show you should just stop watching it. |

Have you ever read any definition of sci-fi? It is a genre and does not tell anything about the narrative apart from the setting. Being sci-fi does not mean you have to explain every little thing, it just means it tackles technology, space travel and similar things; it is futuristic... narrative does not need to be "tight" This show is a wind of a fresh air when a show finally tries to tell a story over a longer time period which is possible because of the AI. No this is not a fantasy... where is magic and supernatural... it is not there... the technology being there does not mean it came out of nothing, the show just focuses on the AI being self-conscious which is because of the complexity often technology, not magic. So, you are wrong and maybe think more before you write something stupid like this; it'll make your life easier. |

| This is hilarious and seeing someone repeatedly make basically the same topic over and over again on a subpart forum is kinda sad. Also, even though I know this is bait of the lowest caliber, here is the literal definition of science fiction: fiction based on imagined future scientific or technological advances and major social or environmental changes, frequently portraying space or time travel and life on other planets. Honestly the trolls on this site are some of the saddest, lowest level trolls I have ever seen. |
