Anthony Weiner's Wienergate

And so the "treatment" phase begins.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theti...si-and-top-democrats-call-on-weiner-to-resign

Why do politicians and celebrities always go this route in an attempt to repair their image? He sexted some women and now he has an illness?

I find it funny that some people on Free Ones thinks he should step down.

I'm not a fan of Weiner, but I am of his wife's boss.

My assumption (and I'm human, so I'm prone to making bad assumptions) that this board is probably mostly populated by dudes who are on here wacking without there wife's knowledge. If they had the chance, they would probably wack it with a hot porn chick and show the hot porn chick their own weiner.

So, it amuses me.

I think the guy on a panel last night asked the most pertinent question of all: Would you want him as your neighbor (children or not)? Not one person on the panel said yes. That should be an indicator enough of the man's character. I wouldn't want that peeping Tom living next to me and double that if I had kids. :2 cents:

Well let's not get carried away here. We know he's a cheater and likes to sext random women, as many guys do. I wouldn't treat him as a sex offender, but I certainly agree that it reflects badly on his character and makes him look sleazy. IMO I don't really care what things politicians do in their personal life unless it contradicts what they're preaching or involves something corrupt (i.e. taking bribes, running prostitution/drug ring), in which case they got to go. This guy's political future is bleak, but I'm not gonna cry for his resignation. Still here's what I think:
1.) Posting the photo on Twitter was a pretty stupid mistake to make. Derp!
2.) He looks particularly bad for initially lying about it. It wasn't even a solid lie either, it was half-assed. If you're gonna lie then at least thoroughly deny it. It shows that he lacks the stones and the integrity to be taken seriously as a politician.
3.) He eventually fessed up and apologized, so good on him. Albeit, the cat was already out of the bag and his initial story about being hacked was pretty weak since he couldn't even deny that the photo was of him.
4.) Seeking treatment is such a lame and cliched political move. It hurts his image even more because we know it's just an excuse to hide away until scrutiny dissipates. There's really nothing to cure.
5.) His wife is pretty damn classy (hot too I might add). On the other hand, the women who won't keep their mouths shut are not. Although, we shouldn't expect any better from women who engage in sexting with a married politician they've never even met. What other reason would they do it other than to capitalize on it when the time came, just like the Tiger Woods and Charlie Sheen women? Double derp!

Would you want me?

...or more important to me, would I want you?

Billy Joel sings, "Everybody has a dream."
I say, Everybody has a closet.

Scott, I'm responding to you, but not specifically speaking about you. I just have to believe that if you audited the Freeones Member's PC's that you would find out some information that most good ol' guy on the panel would look down from his Ivory Tower and say "I don't want him as a neighbor"

Some of my neighbors know what I do and they are about a 50/50 split on wanting me around. I know what some of them do - and I really don't care.

I'll see your :2 cents:

Gloria Allred......
Why am I not surprised?

And so another undeserving pornstar gets a bump in attention just for being involved in a sex scandal. Fuck the media for shining the spotlight on them.

Good. He was becoming a distraction, whether what he did was deemed by some to be illegal or not.

Likely another Brietfarted Demo casualty. When are Demos going to learn??

Nothing excuses Weiner's behavior...(not even 'treatment':facepalm:) but how much are you willing to bet this whole situation is stemming from another Breitbart political prank.

I wouldn't put it passed Brietbart to have rigged a little 'social engineering' prank on Wiener by putting one of the broads up contacting the guy.

That's probably what happened at the end of it.

He should have just resigned as soon as he admitted it so certain parties would not have a Chance to get their 15 minutes of fame/shame.

Doesn't really matter. Weiner fell for it even if it went down that way. Breitbart isn't an elected official and isn't expected to live up to any standards of conduct other than being a citizen. You can blackmail him until you're blue in the face and National Security is not affected one bit.
